I have been a mechanic since 2007. For the first several years I worked in traditional shops. I know exactly how that world operates, and I know why I left it.

Here is what actually happens when you take your car to a shop: you drop it off, arrange a ride, wait most of the day, and then get a call from a service advisor who is paid partly on commission. That person did not touch your car. They are reading from a work order written by a technician they may have barely spoken to. You get a bill with line items you cannot verify, and you pay it because you need your car back.

I went mobile in 2015 because I thought there was a better way to do this. Turns out there was.

You Do Not Go Anywhere

This is the obvious one, but it matters more than people realize until they experience it. I come to your driveway, your parking lot, your workplace, wherever the car is. You do not arrange a ride. You do not lose a day. You go about your morning and I fix your car while you do it.

I have done brake jobs in apartment parking lots while the customer worked from home. I have replaced starters in driveways off Stage Coach Lane while horses grazed twenty feet away. I have diagnosed check engine lights in Temecula parking lots for people who were stranded on their way to work. The location does not matter. I bring everything I need.

The Price Difference Is Real

A traditional shop has a building, a lease, a service advisor, a parts department, and multiple layers of markup. All of that overhead ends up on your bill. I do not have any of it. My overhead is my truck, my tools, and my phone. Most customers pay 20 to 40 percent less for the same repair compared to a dealership or chain shop. That is not a promotional claim. That is just math.

You Can Watch

When I work on your car in your driveway, you can stand there and watch. You can ask what I am doing and why. You can see the old part and the new part. There is no black box, no mystery bill at the end. Most people who watch me work once become long-term customers. Not because I am putting on a show, but because they can see that the work is real and the diagnosis is honest.

You Get the Same Mechanic Every Time

At a busy shop, your car might be touched by two or three different technicians depending on the day. I know your vehicle. I remember what we talked about last time. I know that your F-150 has a small coolant leak we are watching, or that your Camry's AC compressor is original and running on borrowed time. That context matters when you call me with a new problem.

I Do Not Upsell

Service advisors at dealerships are often paid on commission. That creates a structural incentive to recommend things you may not need. I do not have that incentive. My business runs on repeat customers and referrals. If I tell someone they need a repair they do not need, they find out eventually, and I lose them. So I only tell you what your vehicle actually needs. If something can wait, I will tell you that too.

One Thing to Know Before You Call

I cannot do everything a full shop can do. I cannot do alignments. I cannot do major body work. If your car needs something I cannot handle at your location, I will tell you that upfront and point you somewhere good. I would rather be honest about my limits than take your money for a job I cannot do right.

For everything else, call or text me at (760) 468-2854. I have been doing this in Fallbrook since 2007 and I will give you a straight answer about what your car needs.
